IT Region At Kaiser Permanente Information Technology, we're working to provide the best application systems available. Our goal? We are proud to introduce KP HealthConnect, a highly sophisticated clinical and administrative information management system. KP HealthConnect links patient electronic medical records with appointments, registration, and billing information to enhance care delivery and improve operational efficiency. This platform will deliver reliable services and information to members and partners alike - all at a low administrative cost. In short, a secure system through which our physicians and our more than 8.2 million members can access their medical information, all the time, in real time. Approximately 50,000 users will have immediate access to electronically linked patient information, basic computerized patient records, decision support, clinical practice guidelines and workflow management. It's a capability that promises to radically redefine the way healthcare is delivered. It's a lofty ideal - but one that we're well on our way to achieving. And one that is sure to change the administrative face of health care.
